Wolves' now customary pre-match fireworks and lights show was taking place before tonight's match against the Hammers, which Wolves won 3-0.

During the show a firework appeared to cannon off the ceiling of the Steve Bull stand – and rebounded back into supporters.

Supporter Jack Paterson captured the moment on video.

It's thought that at least one fan was hit, but nobody was injured. Stewards checked on supporters but reported no injuries and the match started on time.

The fireworks were immediately stopped.

A Wolves spokesperson said: “Club officials are aware of an incident ahead of tonight’s game in which a fragment of firework came to rest in the Steve Bull Stand.

“Stewards responded quickly and there are no reported injuries, but we will seek a full investigation by our pyrotechnic providers.”

It's not the first time a firework has gone into the crowd at Molineux.

Back in 2003 supporter Denise Wright was taken to hospital after a firework hit her in the face before a game against Newcastle.
