Nuno: Wolves must match Shrewsbury intensity

Wolves head to Shropshire hoping to reach the fifth round of the competition for just the second time since 2008.

They will face ex-Wolves player and coach Sam Ricketts, who was recently appointed boss at Montgomery Waters Meadow.

And if they want to avoid an upset, Nuno has called for his players' attitude to be spot on, first and foremost.

"High levels of motivation and intensity – we must equal them – and after, with our organisation and talent, we are ready to compete.

"We know it's going to be tough. Cups are unpredictable. We're prepared, knowing we have to maintain our high standards.

"We have to be intense and focused.

"We prepare the same way but what we expect is if we put ourselves in the side of Shrewsbury, it's a big chance for them and we have to realise that.

"We still have to decide (our team) but we don't have too many options, we are a very small squad. Every player is going to have their minutes."

Nuno was fined £8,000 in midweek after admitting an FA charge of misconduct for celebrating on the pitch with Diogo Jota at the end of the thrilling 4-3 win over Leicester City.

The head coach couldn't rule out not doing it again in similar circumstances.

"Everyone knows it's hard to control those emotions in such special moments, the last minute of the game, a goal that gave us an important victory," he added.

"I tried to be as far as possible and avoid the situation, but I maintain my opinion, the referee took the right decision.

"At the same time everyone understands why I went on the pitch."

Fans have donated money towards paying Nuno's fine, which has been paid by the club.

"I appreciate it," he said. "For sure that money will go to charity."
