One fairly regulation save to tip over Milivojevic's shot in the first half. Blameless for the goals. Only the one dodgy kick this time. 6/10

Ryan Bennett

Had a really good night quelling the threat of Zaha, producing two fine sliding tackles to stop the flying winger and an important clearing header in the nick of time. Also made a crucial block just ahead of his own goal line. No complaints for the penalty in the final seconds, when Zaha finally got past him. He was lucky to avoid picking up a second booking of the night for that foul. 7/10

Conor Coady

Not at his best but tried to get Wolves going with a number of searching balls forward. Rarely gave the ball away. Couldn't reach quickly enough to prevent Ayew from netting the opener. 6/10

Willy Boly

Not his finest hour. Booked for a foul on Townsend, stood on the ball to let the same player race toward the box, missed Wolves' best chance of the night when he completely shanked a free header and, like Coady, he couldn't stop Ayew from scoring. A night he'll want to forget. 5/10

Matt Doherty

Should have diverted Boly's header into the net from just a couple of yards, albeit it came to him quickly. Got to the byline a couple of times but that was about it, really. Helped Bennett keep Zaha quite but he had a pretty anonymous evening. 5/10

Joao Moutinho

Wolves needed some magic or some spark but he couldn't provide it. His night was epitomised by a shanked pass behind Cavaleiro which swiftly ended Wolves' chance of breaking three-on-two. Bang average. 5/10

Romain Saiss

Defensively he did ok, winning five tackles, but this was a step down on his recent performances. Palace outnumbered him and Moutinho in central midfield and they struggled to exert any control whatsoever. 6/10

Jonny Castro Otto

He was busy enough defensively with a number of interceptions and tackles but, like Doherty, offensively he just didn't trouble Palace at all. His one shot of the night, from a Doherty cut-back, may still be heading towards the moon now. 5/10

Helder Costa

The hope was that scoring his first goal of the season at Wembley would take him to greater heights. It didn't work out that way last night. Didn't complete a single successful dribble all evening. The first player withdrawn, 64 minutes in. 4/10

Raul Jimenez

His worst performance in a Wolves shirt? One decent attempt from range in the first half but wilted as the game went on. Only touched the ball three times in the Palace box (there were only 12 touches for the whole team, to be fair). Work rate, yes, but ineffective. 5/10

Ivan Cavaleiro

Nope, another one who endured a poor and frustrating evening. A couple of good crosses into the box including the corner from which Boly should have scored. Otherwise he offered nothing. 5/10

Morgan Gibbs-White (for Costa, 64)

Only touched the ball 12 times in 27 minutes. Nuno changed the formation and tried to get Gibbs-White to inject some vibrancy into the performance but it didn't happen on this occasion. 5/10

Ruben Neves (for Saiss, 73)

Tried to get Wolves going with a few brisk passes and a decent long-range shot. 6/10

Adama Traore (for Cavaleiro, 84)

Can't have been fit otherwise he surely would have come on earlier. Just six touches of the ball. N/A
