Goals from Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk gave Jurgen Klopp's unbeaten Reds a 2-0 win on Friday night.

Wolves competed admirably but couldn't find the back of the net and their three-game winning streak came to an abrupt halt.

Coady said: "We defended well and nullified them but we have to focus for 95 minutes and I don’t think we did for the two goals.

"They’re a top team. When you’re in the division it’s about winning games. We started off with a plan and I thought we started well.

"The first half was better, the second half was strange as it felt like they nullified us without us even knowing. It was a real strange one. If we’d taken one of our chances in the first half it might have been different but fair play to Liverpool.

"We have to look at the goals and improve.

"The good thing is we have a game on Boxing Day. It’s a big game for us, Fulham are a good side, they move the ball well so we have to be prepared as normal."

Salah excelled at Molineux and Coady said the Egyptian was clearly one of the best strikers in world football.

"He’s just clever, you can look all you want before the game to see what he does but on the day he’s a world class footballer," the ex-Liverpool man added.

"I don’t think he touches it that often but when he does he makes the game his own.

"The first one was a great finish, it goes through my legs in the end but it’s a great finish. It could be stopped with quick free kick, we're not switched on for it and the same with the cross for the second. We need to look at it and get better."

The players will train on Christmas Day before travelling down to London ahead of their game against lowly Fulham on Boxing Day.

Coady said: "We’re in Christmas Day, we’re training, we’re travelling to London and doing it right. It’s a big game for us and we have to make sure we bounce back from Friday and move forward."
