Former Wolves player Olofinjana is now in charge of overseeing Wolves’ loan players – of which nine are currently at Jumilla as part of an official link-up between the clubs.

Olofinjana said: “It’s a big opportunity, both for Wolves and Jumilla.

“It’s a new terrain for myself. There’s a lot that goes into it in terms of looking after the individual.

“They’re out on loan to get games, it’s up to you as a loans manager to make sure they’re learning the process.

“Sometimes if they’re not playing they switch off, but even if you’re not playing there’s a lot to be learned.”

Olofinjana visited Jumilla last week when Wolves took an under-23 side for a friendly against the Segunda B outfit, which Jumilla won 1-0.

He said it’s important to let the loan players know they’re still part of the ‘Wolves family’.

“It’s good to meet the Jumilla staff and coaches and see what’s possible in January and going forward,” Olofinjana added.

“Every three months we’ll bring them back for two days, so they can still know what the Wolves family is all about.

“Sometimes they go out for six months or a season and when they come back they look lost.

“We’re setting them individual targets. We’ve put a strategy in place to bring them back when we can.

“We’ve got this WhatsApp group, if they want to talk about anything, we’re in touch with the managers and the staff.

“They don’t miss out on anything. They’re well looked after.”
