Ex-Wolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake signs for Halesowen Town
Halesowen Town have pulled off a transfer coup by landing former Wolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.
The Evo-Stik League outfit announced the signing on Thursday evening.
The 32-year-old striker made 177 appearances for Wolves and found the net 61 times during a successful stay at Molineux.
Injuries have led to the popular ex-Wolves man moving down the leagues. After leaving Wolves he had spells with Ipswich, Preston, Chesterfield and Shrewsbury before a short stint with AFC Telford last season.
Halesowen manager John Hill said: "To be able to attract a player with such quality and experience as Sylvan is a pure signal of intent for the Yeltz to the other teams in the league especially when you look at the clubs he has turned down.
"When a coup like this comes along it really does make the hundreds of phone calls that Matt Clarke and myself make each week worthwhile.''
Ebanks-Blake could partner controversial ex-Albion striker Lee Hughes up front for Halesowen.
Hughes joined the Yeltz last March.
