Steve Bull: The party is going to go on for quite a while yet at Wolves
I can’t wait for today’s game against Sheffield Wednesday and to see the team lift the trophy.
A win will take us to 100 points for the season, which would be a fantastic and rare achievement.
At the start of the season I certainly didn’t expect this to happen and I’m sure 28,000 fans didn’t either.
But fair play to everyone at the club – Fosun, the board, the recruitment team, Nuno and his players have all played a part in a perfect season.
I’ll have a smile on my face today whether we win, lose or draw as it’s going to be a great party atmosphere.
We’ll see what team Nuno picks, but it would be good to see some of the fringe players given a chance.
Guys like Morgan Gibbs-White and Kortney Hause haven’t started many games this year so maybe we’ll see them.
Everyone will definitely want to sign off at home with a victory and given Sheffield Wednesday have nothing to play for we’re certainly big favourites to do that.
Fingers crossed the team will put on a bit of a show and get three or four goals like they did at Bolton last week.
There’s no pressure on the players, they can go out and enjoy it and play their natural game.
The party is going to continue for a while yet, with the big parade in the city coming on Bank Holiday Monday, which will be a fantastic day for the fans, who I’m sure will line the streets in their many thousands.
Before that, there’s the Sunderland game next weekend too. It’s a shame we haven’t been given more tickets, but the ones who go will definitely make themselves heard, even if they have had to get up at 5am to travel up there!
The promotion race behind Wolves is going to be very tight with Fulham, Cardiff and Villa all in contention to join us in the top flight.
Personally I’d like to see Fulham do it because they play great football and have been enjoyable to watch all season. The run they’ve been on since Christmas is just crazy.
Cardiff have been very hard to beat, they’re a proper physical team in the mould of Neil Warnock. Fair play for what they’ve done, but I’d like to see Fulham pip them.
Finally I want to thank everybody who came out to Marbella for my Steve Bull golf event which raised £8,000 for charity.
