The Portuguese attacker is joined by five other nominees for the honour, which is decided by a fan vote.

Cardiff's Sean Morrison, former Villa winger Adama Traore, Norwich City's James Maddison, Preston's Alan Browne and Sheffield Wedneday's Lucas Joao make up the other nominees.

The 24-year-old netted once through February in Wolves' 3-0 win over Sheffield United, but also racked up four assists over the course of the month, with two of those coming against QPR.

Cavaleiro previously won November's award, with Diogo Jota and Leo Bonatini also having claimed the monthly honour over the course of this season.

Voting for the award is open until March 7th, with fans able to cast their vote here.
