The service in honour of Foz's life and contribution to the club will be held at St Peter’s Collegiate Church on Thursday, February 8.

Foz had been a Wolves fan since he was 15 and was affiliated with the club in a variety of roles for decades.

He officially joined Wolves in 1999 and worked with the club's media team including on the matchday programme.

But he was also a keen historian of the club and many supporters will remember him from videos the club produced in the 1990s.

Tributes flooded in from after his death aged 67 at the start of the year.

A Wolves statement said: "The club, and Foz’s family, have been inundated with tributes and good wishes following his passing, and now the wider community will be able to pay their respects and celebrate his life at the memorial service.

"Foz had many interests, not only Wolves and football, but many other sports, and also folk music, steam trains and memorabilia.

"Friends and former colleagues from all of those spheres of his life will be welcome to join Foz’s family at the service, which will be led by the Rev Prebendary David Wright, Rector of Wolverhampton and also Wolves' club chaplain."

A private cremation service will be held in the morning, with the cortege pausing outside Molineux on Foz’s final journey at approximately 11am or shortly after.

The celebration service at St Peter's in the city centre will take place at 1pm.

Any supporters who want to make a donation in Foz’s memory have been asked to support the British Heart Foundation or Severn Valley Railway charity.
