West Brom's Callum Robinson to return for Manchester United clash

Robinson tested positive for coronavirus while on international duty with the Republic of Ireland and was forced to miss their games against England, Wales and Bulgaria. The Express & Star understands the striker’s result came from a test on Monday, November 9.

Ireland subsequently confirmed the 25-year-old was “asymptomatic and feeling well” despite the result.

It meant, as per NHS guidelines, Robinson had to self-isolate for 10 days but he is able to resume training today.

Albion will also have Branislav Ivanovic and Matheus Pereira available for the trip to Manchester. The duo also recorded positive tests for coronavirus prior to the game against Tottenham.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Sam Johnstone admits he is looking forward to looking horns with former mentor David de Gea on Saturday.

Johnstone joined United when he was 10 and progressed through the youth ranks at Old Trafford to become one of De Gea’s understudies.

And despite leaving the club to join Albion in a permanent deal back in July 2018, the pair have remained in touch. “It was a great learning curve working with him,” Johnstone said. “Just watching him every day, everything in gym, around the place, training, before games, when we travelled.

“He was always very relaxed, very confident in his own ability and very good.

“You can’t get much better than learning from someone like that every single day.

“He’s a good person. We have stayed in contact.”
