Romaine Sawyers thrashes West Brom teammate Kyle Edwards in online exhibition
Romaine Sawyers has bested fellow West Brom teammate Kyle Edwards, after the pair went head to head on the hit video game FIFA 20.
Sawyers challenged Edwards to a game on the virtual pitch after Edwards called out the midfielder during an Albion Q+A.
The club went as far as setting up a pre-match press conference after the tie was set-up via Zoom, before the pair went head to head on Thursday.
It was a day to forget for Edwards however, who saw Sawyers runaway to victory, beating the young winger 5-0.
Sawyers, taking control of Premier League leaders Liverpool put in a devastating first-half performance, leading 4-0 against Edwards' Barcelona side.
There was only a single strike between the sides in the second period, but the damage was done - as Sawyers coasted to victory.
More than 15,000 fans tuned in to watch the game live on Twitch - however, chances of a rematch appear slim between the pair, following such a comprehensive result.
