Reports in the national press claim that Palace have agreed a fee with Albion which will see the young defender head to Selhurst Park in a deal which could be worth up to £10m.

The 19-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season at The Hawthorns, quickly becoming one of the most promising young defenders outside of the top flight under Slaven Bilic.

West Brom had been keen to tie him down to a new deal after seeing a number of other promising young players depart the club for bargain deals in previous seasons - but now reportedly look set to cash in, with the defender seemingly opting against signing a new contract.

Reports suggest that the youngster is set to undergo a medical in south London today.

Ferguson has been utilised on both defensive flanks under Bilic, having originally been considered a centre back at youth level.

He has made 21 appearances for Albion this season, scoring one goal and also notching one assist. He's been associated with the club since the age of just eight.

A five-year deal had been on offer to Ferguson, but with Albion fearing that he could depart for a nominal fee in the summer, it's understood the Baggies would rather sell this week than risk him departing on the cheap.

Palace meanwhile, have been keen to bolster at full back following Aaron Wan-Bissaka's big-money move to Manchester United in the summer, which eventually went through in a deal worth up to £50m.

Should Ferguson exit The Hawthorns, it could spark Albion into further business late-on in the window - with a replacement potentially being sourced by Bilic.

Martin Olsson has trained with Albion this month, and could provide cover at left-back - should the Baggies decide to offer him a deal.
