Albion are willing to listen to loan offers for £15million man Oliver Burke in an effort to get him senior football.

A number of clubs have reportedly made enquiries, including Scottish giants Celtic and fellow Championship clubs Millwall, Wigan Athletic and Nottingham Forest.

The 21-year-old has not started a Championship game this season, and wasn’t named in any of Darren Moore’s squads over the Christmas period.

Although Albion are unlikely to loan him to one of their promotion rivals, they are eager for him to get minutes under his belt elsewhere.

“It’s a possibility,” admitted Moore. “If it works for West Brom in terms of Oli’s development for the club then we’ll look at that. All Oli wants to do, like all of them, is to play.

“Oli’s a young talented player. He’s one for the future of the club, he’s been a little bit unfortunate because the front line has made a great contribution this season and scored plenty of goals.

“It’s been difficult for Oli to break in and have a run of games. We’re working hard with him in training.

“The opportunity has been lacking because of the competition ahead of him who have been relentless.

“Oli’s got to keep going, we’re supportive of him, I’m having regular chats with him on a daily basis. But he needs regular football.”

Jake Livermore will serve the first of his four-match ban this weekend when Albion host Wigan in the FA Cup third round.

But Moore hopes his suspension will give other members of his squad a chance to step up to the plate.

“To lose Jake for that number of games is a blow for us but we’ll take it on the chin and move on,” he said. “I’m hoping it presents the opportunity for one or two others to feel they can step in and stake a claim.

“It was a heat of the moment situation. There was a reaction and we take our medicine with it in terms of the ban coming.

“Jake’s been very apologetic. We support him and he’s just got to serve his punishment now.”
