Albion spent the majority of the game behind to Atdhe Nuhiu's fifth-minute opener, but then Chris Brunt scrambled home an equaliser in the fifth minute of injury time against his former club.

The draw extends Albion's unbeaten run to nine matches and Brunt's goal ensured the Baggies scored in every single home league game of 2018.

Moore, who was delighted to see how many supporters stayed until the end, usually remains ice cool when his side score. But this time, even he couldn't control his emotions.

"It's good to see we've got togetherness as a club," he said. "I felt that today, in the technical area at the end I was pleased to see it was still a full stadium.

"Everyone enjoyed that goal. I'm usually quite calm when goals go in but even I had a little celebration today."

Despite his side failing to have shot on target until the 70th minute, Moore was pleased with the point because of the circumstance it came in.

"I'm absolutely delighted with the point with it coming so late," he said. "It's the second game in four days, we played the last half hour with 10 men.

"The attitude of the players and their relentless approach to get back into the game, the stadium still being full in the last dying moments showed real togetherness and unity from the club and it's something we've been working to get back here.

"It's moments like these I remember West Bromwich Albion for. I'm sitting here as a delighted head coach, it's as good a point won that I've ever felt within me.

"They're a good team Sheffield Wednesday, they're a hard team, they've got a new manager and they're working for him. It was a difficult game so I'm very pleased.

"We dominated for long spells and kept asking questions. Wednesday were very resolute in their defending, defended their box very well.

"It's difficult when teams get bodies behind the ball. I take nothing away from them, because they came here to get a result.

"But the temperament of my players to go a man down and get a result. was good.

"We changed the set plays, put Matty (Phillips) on the corner because an inswinger causes more problems.

"Better late than never. The jubilation was felt around the stadium. I'm really pleased to finish 2018 on a positive note."
