Rotherham boss Paul Warne: This league is disgusting

Paul Warne was happy with his players.

The Millers were unlucky to go into half-time 3-0 down after a clinical Baggies side blitzed them in the first half.

And Warne's side, who had two efforts cleared off the line and missed a penalty, had 18 shots in total compared to Albion's 11.

But the Millers boss said the difference between the two teams was clinical finishing.

"This league is disgusting," said Warne. "Obviously, there’s some unbelievable sides in here and the difference between them is (the top ones) take their chances when they come.

"We’ve lost 4-0 but I’m not coming in disappointed. If we learn from it, we will get a positive from it.

"It wasn’t like it was 4-0 and we took an absolute trouncing.

"I was cool as a cucumber at half-time because we did everything we could to win the game. It’s a cliche but goals change games.

"And on top of that, I personally don’t feel ashamed losing at home to West Brom. They are a very good side.

"My thoughts on the game are that the way we set up, was the right way. The lads' performance was good. In the crucial moments of the game, they took their chances and we didn’t.

"Could we have played any better? I don’t think we could. It seemed like we had as many chances as them."
