After falling behind to David McGoldrick's deserved opener 12 minutes in, Albion roared back with goals from Gareth Barry just before half-time and Kieran Gibbs in the second half.

The Baggies boss admitted his side had to weather a first-half storm, but was pleased with how his players took on a tactical tweak at half-time that limited their hosts after the break.

"I thought it took us 25 minutes to grow into the game," said Moore. "Sheffield United started really well, they moved the ball around well and they asked questions.

"I knew we had to get our off-the-ball right and I felt that came after 25 minutes.

"We got to grips with the game and then we scored the goal with a good passage of play. We went in to half-time feeling a little bit better.

"We told them at half-time, if you really want to win you'll have to go and get this game.

"You need to dig deep as a unit and go and get the game.

"We made a slight tactical change at half-time and I thought that really worked.

"We stopped them from switching play. Once we stopped that it gave us a little bit momentum to get the ball down and play.

"It stopped them carrying the ball forward, we penned them and dominated the ball second half from that change."

It's the third time in four games Albion have come from behind to earn something, and the Baggies have a league-high 16 points from losing positions.

"We've got resilience, good character, togetherness, spirit, unity, all those aspects that you need," said Moore. "They showed that again, it's tough to go a goal down. But each of them rose to the challenge.

"Any head coach will say they don't want to come from a goal down, when you do it's important you stay in the game and give yourself an opportunity to come back."

Albion's forwards have been in the goals all season, but it was two players from further back – Barry and Gibbs – who found the net this time.

"Everybody shares the goals around," said Moore. "Gareth and Kieran have come up with two wonderful goals, they showed composure, they picked their spot and got the right connection on the ball, we're really pleased."
