Darren Moore: West Brom will win more than they lose playing like that

Darren Moore is confident Albion will win more games than they lose if they continue to play like they did against Brentford.

The Baggies dropped two points against the Bees thanks to an injury-time equaliser from Lewis MacLeod after Harvey Barnes finally broke the deadlock 13 minutes from time.

Albion should have been out of sight by then, with both Jay Rodriguez and Hal Robson-Kanu missing gilt-edged chances in a one-sided first half.

"You've all seen the game," said Moore. "I'm pleased with the performance, it was a dominant display by us. We've gone out to try and win the game.

"The goal we conceded, we're not too happy with it. But I'm pleased with the performance.

"The analysis guys said we had 23 chances, 34 crosses. Because of the way the team has been this season, you think that delivers a win.

"Football is never like that. Whatever you predict, it's never that way.

"I'm pleased with the overall performance. One small thing we could have been a little bit more ruthless but I can't complain because the boys have been showing that this season.

"As long as we create like that and we are inventive like that, you'll win more than you lose."

The most glaring miss came just three minutes in when Rodriguez somehow scooped over from three yards out.

"None of us can put our finger on it," said Moore. "It looked like an easy tap in. Maybe it skipped up off the turf.

"I look at the performance and they've created and probed.

"You have to be focused and concentrate, Brentford will be delighted with that one.

"Credit to them, they got men behind the ball second half and defended the ball with numbers."

Moore only made one substitute in the game, which was an enforced one at half-time to replace the injured Hal Robson-Kanu with Dwight Gayle.

But he didn't think his side needed fresh legs towards the end of the match.

"Not really," he said. "Because we were dominant in the game.

"When your back's against the wall you look to change it up. Because of the performance, I thought they were alright. I didn't see their goal coming.

"We'll find out about Hal Robson-Kanu in the morning. I think he's jarred his knee, but I can't give any medical prognosis."

Brentford boss Thomas Frank said: "It was very pleasing. Everybody could see in the first half we were hanging in there.

"We did everything we could do to defend. It's not how we want to play but we are playing against the best home side in the division."
