The 32-year-old attacking midfielder saw his contract expire this summer, having missed the majority of last season due to an achilles injury.

Following a number of promising showings during pre-season, including scoring against Barnsley in Albion's 3-2 win, the club have agreed a new deal with the Scotland international, with the option of a further year in his favour.

The deal continues Morrison's tenure as the longest-serving current player at The Hawthorns, having joined in 2007 and since making more than 300 appearances for the club.

Morrison is now eligible to feature for Albion in the Championship and is likely to feature in the club's league opener tomorrow against Bolton.
