Berahino, who now plays for Premier League side Stoke City, took to social media to voice his concerns.

It came after allegations about his private life were reported in a national newspaper.

The 24-year-old, who played more than 100 games for the Baggies, posted the message on a video via his Twitter account.

The clip, which has been viewed more than 58,500 times, showed photographers reportedly outside his home in a leafy Cannock suburb.

In the message he says: "I’ve stayed silent for a long time but I’ve reached my breaking point.

"These guys have been to my house for three straight days for what.

“Like who am I for them to be so interested in.

“I’m a nobody!

“What I do in my private life has nothing to do with anyone but my family."

Berahino got engaged to Birmingham restaurateur and nightclub managing director Stephania Christoforou last year.
