It's hoped the Baggies midfielder will be in contention for the game against Chelsea after the international break.

Head coach Tony Pulis is looking forward to having Morrison available, because he's keen to have all his attacking options available.

Oliver Burke, who has endured a stuttering start to life at The Hawthorns thanks to a couple of hamstring problems, is fully fit and could make his full debut at Huddersfield tomorrow.

Once Morrison returns, the only injured player left is Craig Dawson, who is out until Christmas with a knee problem.

"James went to Holland and saw a specialist last week and the news was decent," said Pulis. "Fingers crossed he’ll be up and running next week and maybe around for the Chelsea game which will be a bonus.

"Dawson is still struggling. Burke has trained well this week and he’s back in contention."

Albion haven't won any of their last nine games in all competitions but Pulis claims the number of niggling injuries his squad has had to deal with has had an impact on performances.

"Once everyone is fit I know what team I want to pick, I know what balance that team would be and what we'd do," he said. "Up until we get those players fit we'll try and get the best out of what we've got. And that's what they do, they give us everything."

Pulis suggested that Morrison and Burke would be in that ideal starting line-up, but when he was asked if there was a place for Chris Brunt or James McClean, he responded: "Brunty has been playing left-back and Gibbs has been one of our outstanding players.

"He has done ever so well. So there is real competition there for the first time since I’ve been here."
