Grzegorz Krychowiak is happy at Albion and open to staying in the Premier League next season after feeling ‘deceived’ by Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery.

There is no option to buy the classy Polish midfielder included in the season-long loan from French giants PSG, but head coach Tony Pulis would love to make his move permanent.

Although Krychowiak is not thinking too far ahead, he was left stung by Emery, who signed him from Sevilla for £28m last summer but then left him out of his team.

“I spoke with the coach (Emery) but every time when I spoke with him I felt deception,” he said. “I didn’t understand why.

“The coach knows me very well. We spent two years together (at Sevilla) and before I signed the contract he told me to come to PSG and I didn’t play.”

When Krychowiak was asked if that treatment would encourage him to stay in England, he said: “I don’t know, we’ll see.

"Why not? The Premier League is one of the best leagues in the world, so why not.

"But I’m focused for the next game and that’s all. I don’t think about next season. The most important thing is the next game.”

Krychowiak didn’t know an awful lot about the Baggies before his shock arrival in the summer.

But six weeks into his season-long stay at The Hawthorns he is happy with his choice, and has seen enough to convince him the team can mount another challenge for the top half.

“West Bromwich came in the first 10 places (last season) but what I’ve seen in the last few weeks, this team can make a lot better,” he said. “After five games with West Bromwich I am very happy to be here.”

Objectives at The Hawthorns may be different to what the double Europa League winner has experienced before, but the lure of English football proved great.

“I had opportunities in other countries with other clubs but the Premier League and the opportunity to discover this league was very important for me,” he said.

“Every game makes me better and after five games for West Brom and two for Poland I feel very well.”
