Craig Dawson and Jay Rodriguez. (AMA)

BEN FOSTER

Doucoure's goal was well-placed and took a slight deflection, and there was nothing he could do about Richarlison's header. Rarely troubled apart from that. 6/10

CRAIG DAWSON

Was given a torrid time by Richarlison all afternoon, and was spun by the Brazilian midfielder in the build-up to the first goal. 5/10

AHMED HEGAZI

Won more headers than anyone else on the pitch and had a solid game apart from two costly mistakes. The first, was a header he lifted over the Watford from three yards out, and the second came when he jumped under the free-kick in the 95th minute. 5/10

JONNY EVANS

The skipper hasn't been at his usual brilliant best since his return, and he might have done better shepherding Doucoure away from the goal for Watford's first. But he looked better here than he did at Arsenal and scored Albion's second. 6/10

KIERAN GIBBS

The only contender with Krychowiak for Albion's best player. Threatening in attack, he also looks unflappable in defence. Won plenty of headers too, which will please Tony Pulis. At the moment, £5m looks like an absolute steal. 8/10

GARETH BARRY

Unable to contend with Watford's impressive midfield trio of Doucoure, Capoue and Cleverley. Was chasing shadows at times. 6/10

GRZEGORZ KRYCHOWIAK - ALBION MAN OF THE MATCH

A classy performance from the PSG loanee epitomised by his raking long ball for Rondon’s opener. But the Pole was everywhere, tenacious in the tackle, driving forward with purpose, and clever in possession. Had the best pass success rate in the team, and was playing the hardest passes. 8/10

MATT PHILLIPS

His corner led to Albion's second goal, but he was leaving Dawson isolated with the dangerous Richarlison too often. Taken off early. 5/10

JAY RODRIGUEZ

Struggled to get into the game in the number 10 role, but was even more anonymous on the wing where he was doing more defending than attacking. Would benefit from a more attacking system. 5/10

CHRIS BRUNT

Misplaced an unusual amount of passes in the first half of his 350th game for the club. Did ok in central midfield for 10 minutes after half-time but soon faded and was taken off. 5/10

SALOMON RONDON

There was still plenty to do after Krychowiak's ball and he did well to outmuscle Kabasele before tucking the ball under Gomes. But he did very little apart from the goal. 6/10

Substitutes

James McClean (For Phillips 57)

Had a couple of shots at goal, and looked lively, but all anyone will remember is the tackle. Even though he got the ball, it was a reckless lunging challenge on Richarlison that led to Watford's late equaliser. 5/10

Jake Livemore (for Brunt 62)

Was more dynamic than Brunt, but struggled to get the ball off Watford. 5/10

Hal Robson-Kanu (for Rondon 73)

Set up a couple of chances for McClean. 6/10
