Sunderland interested in West Brom outcast Callum McManaman
Sunderland are trying to give forgotten man Callum McManaman an escape route from Albion.
The Black Cats are in talks with the Baggies about taking the exiled winger before tonight’s 11pm deadline.
Albion want to sell McManaman, but Sunderland are believed to be keen for a loan move.
The 26-year-old hasn’t featured in Tony Pulis’s plans for the best part of two years but he’s struggled to get a move away.
He went on loan to Sheffield Wednesday for the second half of last season but was unable to break into the starting line-up.
Elsewhere, 17-year-old midfielder Rekeem Harper is set to join Blackburn Rovers on loan tonight, but 19-year-old Sam Field is not expected to leave The Hawthorns.
