Those supporters who flew nearly 6,000 miles to see their team in the Premier League Asia Trophy will also get to meet other members of the board like chief executive Martin Goodman and director of football administration Richard Garlick.

It’s unknown if head coach Tony Pulis or owner Guochuan Lai, who is planning to attend Saturday’s match with Crystal Palace, will be at the gathering.

“I’m surprised, but it’s good the club have recognised the fans,” said supporter Dean Walton, who was first contacted by the club. “Particularly following the gestures from Palace and Leicester for their fans over here.”

Crystal Palace and Leicester, who are also competing in the Premier League Asia Trophy, both hired pubs for their supporters that made the trip to Hong Kong and set up a meet-and-greet with players.
