Brendan Galloway struggled for minutes at West Brom.

The 21-year-old left-back, who struggled for minutes under Tony Pulis, is reportedly having a medical today ahead of his arrival at the Black Cats.

Galloway made three appearances for the Baggies near the start of last season but was dropped after giving away a penalty at home to West Ham.

The England under-21 international didn't play another Premier League game for Pulis and his season-long loan was cut short by mutual consent in April.

The defender made 15 Premier League appearances for Everton in the 2015/16 season but has struggled to impress Ronald Koeman and has now dropped down a division for game time.
