The 46-year-old replaced Kev Barry, who left the Grove earlier this week to focus on his role as manager of the RAF football team.

Hyde, who made more than 350 appearances in a professional career spanning more than 15 years, has now returned to the club where he was previously assistant boss between 2006 and 2007.

"Although I am very saddened to lose Kev Barry, I am delighted Graham has decided to join us," said Halesowen boss John Hill. "He brings with him a wealth of experience and is looking forward to the challenge ahead."

Hyde's coaching career has included stints as both assistant and manager at Redditch, while he has also worked as a No.2 at Boston United and AFC Telford. He has most recently coached at Albion's academy.
