Unai Emery responds after Emi Martinez's tears following Aston Villa win
Villa boss Unai Emery declined to give any assurances on the future of Emi Martinez after the goalkeeper left the field in tears after Friday’s win over Tottenham.

The Argentina international, who has been linked with a possible summer move to Saudi Arabia, was visibly emotional when the final whistle sounded in the last match of the season at Villa Park.
Winger Leon Bailey, another player whose future is the subject of speculation, also appeared in tears when coming on as a late substitute.
While Villa sources are at pains to stress no deal has been agreed for any player to leave, Emery simply replied “we’ll see” when asked in the post-match press conference whether either Bailey or Martinez could leave this summer.
Villa go to Manchester United on the final day of the season still in the hunt for Champions League football.
Asked about the emotional response of the pair, Emery said: “Now we are focused the match we are playing, of course, it is the last match here, and I don't know.
“We will see about the team, the players, but of course, they are responding on the field at the moment.
“They are responding and are focused on how we are preparing and playing each match.
“Of course, Leon Bailey is playing less because I know everybody is responding very well.
“They are performing well. And we are going to play Manchester for the last three points. And for us it will be very important again, to prepare, to be focused everybody.
“And of course, then we will see about everything, how we are going to try to get better for the next season, coming back.”
Friday’s win moved Villa into the Premier League’s top five but Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Manchester United means destiny is not yet in their own hands.
Martinez has now kept clean sheets in each of his last three matches, having kept just three in the first 28 Premier League games of the season.
The 32-year-old, who joined from Arsenal for £20million in 2020, signed a new five-year contract last August.
