Defender issues warning ahead of another pivotal match for Aston Villa
Pau Torres has warned Villa can’t afford to relax for a second as they try to chase down a Champions League place.

Unai Emery’s men head to Bournemouth on Saturday evening aiming for a win to keep their hopes of a top-five Premier League finish alive.
With rivals Chelsea and Newcastle playing each other on Sunday, a victory for Villa at the Vitality Stadium would guarantee they ended the weekend no worse than a point adrift of the top five, with two matches left to play.
But with Nottingham Forest huge favourites to beat already relegated Leicester at home, the pressure on Emery’s team is the most intense it has been so far during the run-in.
The manager and his players know they have virtually no margin for error.
Torres said: “We just need to try to win every game. We know that we need results from other teams to help us, but there are still many points to play for.”
The centre-back admitted Villa’s run to the quarter-finals of this season’s Champions League, where they were edged out by Paris Saint-Germain 5-4 on aggregate, has made players even more determined to make a swift return.
Emery’s men have won seven of their last nine Premier League matches to pull themselves back into the top-five race, albeit they remain the outsiders.
Torres said: “We achieved really good things this season, playing in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and showing we can compete against the best in Europe.
“It’s what we want: to play these games every season. We know that to achieve this you have to be really, really good in the Premier League.
“Every team and every game will be difficult. The other teams are also playing to finish in a good position.
“You can’t relax. You have to be really focused on each game and try to get three points. At the end, we will see where we finish.”
Bournemouth sit one place but seven points behind Villa in the table and a win for Emery’s men would, at the very least, seal European football for a third straight season.
But they know they will need to be somewhere near their best to beat the resurgent hosts, who head into the fixture full of confidence after last weekend’s 2-1 win at Arsenal.
The Cherries have already had a significant impact on Villa’s season. Emery’s men were fourth in the table ahead of October’s reverse fixture but the visiting team’s last-gasp equaliser triggered a five-match winless run which briefly saw them fall into the bottom half of the table. They have been playing catch-up ever since.
Marcus Rashford is again due to be absent as he recovers from a hamstring injury. The biggest issue, for Emery, is the loss of Youri Tielemans to a muscle injury. Record signing Amadou Onana is likely to be drafted into midfield but finding a way to replace his fellow Belgian's creativity will not be easy.
