The Three Lions will face Andorra at Villa Park in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday, September 6, with the match kicking off at 5.30pm.

It will be the first time the stadium has hosted the men’s senior team since a 0-0 draw against the Netherlands in February, 2005.

England boss Thomas Tuchel said: “We are excited to play at Villa Park; another stadium full of history.

“I know from my own visits to the stadium this season that it is capable of creating an outstanding atmosphere and is located close to St. George’s Park which is a positive for our preparation.

“We hope to be able to generate another special atmosphere and create a memorable occasion for all fans.”

The match will be the fourth of England’s qualifying campaign for next year’s World Cup. It will be the second time this year the Three Lions have played a game away from Wembley Stadium, with a friendly match against Senegal due to take place at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground on June 10.

England last played in the West Midlands when they were beaten 4-0 by Hungary at Molineux in 2022.

Villa Park has hosted nine previous England internationals, with the first taking place against Scotland in 1899.
