Grealish has been sidelined since February with a leg injury, keeping him out of the last six fixtures, of which Villa only managed one victory.

Villa released video and pictures of the skipper back in full training at Bodymoor Heath, with the club confirming that the England international had started back in full training on Monday.

Dean Smith previously stated that he was very hopeful that Grealish would be able to feature following the international break, with Villa's first game back against Fulham on Easter Sunday.

Villa's recent poor run has seen their chances of a push for the European paces severely dented. The club now sit 10th, seven points short of sixth-placed Spurs.

Following the game with Fulham, they face Liverpool before hosting derby rivals West Bromwich Albion.
