Birkir Bjarnason, Ahmed Elmohamady and Mile Jedinak are all heading to Russia.

Jedinak, who has captained Australia more than 30 times, has been an integral part of Steve Bruce's Villa squad this season and has made the cut for his country after some influential performances through qualifying.

Bjarnason has been used more fleetingly at Villa Park this season, but was also included in the Iceland squad, which will hope to continue their strong showings in tournament football - after dumping England out of Euro 2016 two years ago.

Elmohamady has featured 45 times this season for Villa and will also travel to the tournament with the Egyptian national side.

Former Villan Christian Benteke won't be making the trip to Russia however, after failing to make the Belgium squad for the tournament.

The international tournament kicks off in just 10 days' time, Elmohamady's Egypt begin their group stages against Uruguay on Friday June 15.

Bjarnason and Jedinak will be in action the following day, with Iceland taking on Argentina, and Australia doing battle with France.
