Conor Coventry scored the only goal in the 82nd minute to end Charlton's five-match winless run in League One (drawing three, losing two) in their a 1-0 win at Burton Albion on Tuesday night.
The Addicks, who sit 12th-place in the third-tier, edged past National League side Southend United with a 4-3 victory after extra-time in the first round earlier this month.
And Jones hopes Charlton's recent win will provide them a platform to build from in the West Midlands.
"When we look at our stats, we haven't lost many games but we've drawn quite a few in the league. So we've come behind a few people and that's probably where the real necessity was to win the game (against Burton on Tuesday)," Jones told the club.
"Now it goes into a three or four game spell. It's a big spell so we know we're going to need everyone. We've got a few people coming back and a few people suspended.
"It's been a relentless period but we're looking forward to the FA Cup now on the weekend. A really tough game against a really good Walsall side, so we've got to be back on the road again and then it'll be good to get back to the Valley."
Charlton skipper Greg Docherty will continue to serve his three-match suspension after receiving a straight red card in their 2-1 defeat at Huddersfield Town last weekend.
Goalkeeper Will Manion (thigh), centre-back Lloyd Jones and striker Chuks Aneke (groin) have also been out of action in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, right-back Kayne Ramsay remains a long-term absentee after suffering a serious knee injury against Stockport County last month.
