But who are the bookies linking with a move to the Midlands?

We take a look at which players are being tipped to head to the region, and the odds of them completing those moves.

All odds correct at time of writing.

Aaron Ramsdale - Aston Villa 12/1

Having impressed at Bournemouth despite getting relegated this season, Aaron Ramsdale is one of their players likely to draw interest this summer.

But despite being a West Brom fan, it's Aston Villa who are being tipped by bookmakers to make a move for the stopper.

At 12/1, Villa are not the front runners with the bookmakers. Sheffield United are actually the favourites at 1/4, thanks mainly due to their situation with Dean Henderson, who has spent this season on-loan at Bramall Lane from Manchester United.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles - Aston Villa 9/1

Arsenal man Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been linked with a shock move this summer, and due to his ability to play in a number of roles, could be of interest to plenty of clubs.

Aston Villa are one side the bookies believe could be in the race for his signature.

He has top flight experience which could help Villa's cause, although they're far from the favourites to bring him in.

Alfredo Morelos - Aston Villa 8/1, West Brom 20/1

Alfredo Morelos

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has long been linked with a move to Aston Villa, and the bookies expect to be in the running for him again.

Albion are another team tipped to move for him too, although they appear long shots at 20/1.

Lille are the 6/4 favourites, although Brighton, Sevilla and Leeds are also on the bookies' list to move for the fiery Colombian.

Abdoulaye Doucoure - Wolves 9/1

If you're after a midfielder with Premier League experience, look no further that Abdoulaye Doucoure.

The Frenchman went down with Watford this season, so is expected to depart Vicarage road this summer.

At 9/1, Wolves are in the middle of the pack. Everton are the most likely to move for him according to the bookmakers, with Arsenal also one of the favourites.

Dean Henderson - Aston Villa 7/1

Speaking of Dean Henderson, the promising shot-stopper has once again showed his ability between the sticks this season for the Blades.

And it's Villa again being tipped to move for him at 7/1 at the bookies, thanks in part to Tom Heaton's injury and Pepe Reina's loan move coming to an end.

Chelsea are the favourites to sign the Englishman at 2/1, with Sheffield United second at 9/4. Leeds are also being credited with an outside shot (10/1)

David Brooks - West Brom 20/1

David Brooks

Another Bournemouth player being linked away - such is the price paid for top flight clubs relegated to the Championship.

Brooks is a fantastic player when fit and available, and for any side heading into the top flight, could be a great addition.

Albion are 20/1 long shots to sign the youngster, with Leicester, West Ham, Crystal Palace, Newcastle, Everton and Leeds all ahead of them according to the bookmakers.

Divock Origi - Aston Villa 3/1, Wolves 10/1

The first player being tipped to link up with more than one club in the area is none other than a Premier League winner.

Divock Origi has forged a solid role at Liverpool, but could be seen as a target should he express a desire to play more regularly next season.

Villa are the bookies favourites to sign him at 3/1, but Wolves are also thought to be in with a shout at 10/1.

Emiliano Buendia - Aston Villa 12/1

Another man being linked with a move to Villa Park is Emiliano Buendia, following his relegation with Norwich.

Whilst not the biggest goalscorer in the world, Buendia was the Canaries' chief chance creator last season in a struggling side.

Leeds are favourites to sign him at 4/1, with Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Liverpool all ahead of Villa with the bookies.

Ivan Toney - West Brom 16/1

Albion are the side linked with a move for Peterborough striker Ivan Toney, but they aren't the only ones.

Brentford are the current favourites, with Celtic and Rangers also ahead of the Baggies according to the bookmakers.

Having done the business lower down the divisions, could he do a job in the top flight?

Ismaila Sarr - Wolves 7/1

Having gone down to the Championship with Watford, it's likely that Ismaila Sarr will depart Vicarage Road sooner rather than later.

Wolves have been linked with the pacey winger since the Hornets suffered the drop.

Liverpool are the 2/1 favourites, with Crystal Palace and Leicester also rated highly by the bookies.

Jesse Lingard - Aston Villa 9/1

Jesse Lingard hasn't had the finest season at Manchester United, and appears to be on the list of players likely to leave Old Trafford this summer.

Villa have already expressed their desire to find top flight experience this window, could he be the answer?

Newcastle are favourite for his signature at 4/1, with AS Roma, Leicester and AC Milan all ahead of Dean Smith's side in the running.

John Stones - Wolves 12/1

What a shock move this would be!

England international John Stones is being linked with a move away from the Etihad this summer, and he'd prove quite a signing for a number of sides.

A centre back could be high on Wolves' list of priorities - although Spurs are the current favourites.

Michy Batshuayi - Aston Villa 4/1

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi was linked with Villa back in January, so it's no shock to see his name mentioned again in relation with a move to the Midlands.

Villa need a striker, and Chelsea look likely to let him go - so it makes sense there.

Villa are favourites at 4/1, although Leeds (5/1), Newcastle (6/1) and West Ham (6/1) are also part of a lengthy list of teams linked with the Belgian.

Max Aarons - Aston Villa 14/1

Norwich's young full-back Max Aarons is likely to garner plenty of top flight interest this summer.

Villa are one of the bookies' bets to move for the promising young defender, although they have some competition.

Spurs are 2/1 favourites, with Bayern Munich and Crystal Palace all ahead of Villa in the stakes.

Nick Pope - Aston Villa 8/1

There are few goalkeepers who can boast the promise held by Burnley stopper Nick Pope.

A move seems unlikely, but Burnley have been known to sell for the right price - and Villa continue to be linked with goalkeepers.

Chelsea are the heavy favourites to sign the Englishman, but Villa are second to them at 8/1.

Ollie Watkins - Aston Villa 6/4, West Brom 25/1

Brentford's Ollie Watkins

He might not provide Premier League experience, but Ollie Watkins definitely promises goals - and for a cut price too.

With a reported £18m release clause, Watkins is looks a certainty to leave Brentford after their playoff final defeat to Fulham.

Villa are already reportedly keen on him, and at such a relatively cheap price, it could be a right deal. The Baggies are at longer odds, with Leeds and West Ham also in the running according to the bookies.

Odsonne Edouard - Aston Villa 5/1

Another striker being tipped to make a move to Villa Park is French sensation Odsonne Edouard, who's currently lighting up games north of the border.

A prolific goalscorer, the Frenchman is reportedly priced at £40m, a fee which could well put off potential buyers.

Arsenal and Leeds (4/1) are joint-favourites to sign the Celtic man.

Said Benrahma - Aston Villa 15/8

Villa are heavy favourites with the bookies to sign Said Benrahma from Brentford, and there's no wonder why.

Villa are likely to prioritise a winger this summer, Benrahma has played with Dean Smith before, Brentford are not in the top flight - it all adds up to a move.

Chelsea, Leeds and West Ham all hold an interest with the bookmakers too.

Shane Duffy - West Brom 5/4

One man heavily linked with a move to the Black Country this summer is Brighton defender Shane Duffy - and the bookies believe it could happen too.

They aren't the favourites though, with Celtic at evens most likely - but the Baggies are in with a shout at 5/4 too.

West Ham are long shots to get a deal done at 10/1 too.

Teemu Pukki - West Brom 5/1

Up-front is likely to be a priority position for Albion to try and fix this summer - could Teemu Pukki do the job?

The Finnish forward was superb for Norwich early this season, but tailed off dramatically as the Canaries went down.

Albion are 5/1 to sign the striker, with Besiktas and Burnley both ahead of them with the bookies.

Tammy Abraham - Aston Villa 4/1

Chelsea's Tammy Abraham

Another forward being tipped with a move is Tammy Abraham, following Timo Werner's arrival at Stamford Bridge.

Villa are linked with a move once again following his loan spell in their promotion campaign, and they're favourites at 4/1.

Crystal Palace and Manchester City are two other top flight sides linked with the goal-getter.

Troy Deeney - West Brom 12/1, Aston Villa 14/1

Finally, if you're after a striker, would Troy Deeney be a solid choice?

He went down with Watford this season, and is being tipped to leave the club to stay in the top flight.

Spurs are the shock favourites at 7/2, with Albion and Villa both outsides at 12/1 and 14/1 respectively.
