It comes after a meeting at Villa Park yesterday morning, when senior executives discussed their response to the EFL’s decision to go ahead with a controversial five-year TV deal with Sky worth £595million.

Harvey is now under increasing pressure amid claims he is underselling the value of the second tier, with clubs also considering a legal challenge to the deal.
