Grand Slam duo visit William Hill betting shop
Grand Slam of Darts contenders Dean Winstanley and Wes Newton took to the oche with customers at a William Hill betting shop in Wolverhampton today.
All bets were off at the office on Coalway Road in Merry Hill as 'Deano' and 'the Warrior' took a flutter with punters and set up their own oche for challenges.
The duo took on visitors on William Hill boards specially made for the event as they landed in the Black Country this morning, ahead of tomorrow's curtain-raiser.
Doncaster's Winstanley made the Grand Slam semi-finals last year and will be hoping for more of the same, starting with his Group D opener against rising Dane Kim Huybrechts tomorrow night.
World No 8 Newton, from Fleetwood in Lancashire, is in action during the afternoon session, where he contests a tricky Group G fixture with former BDO world champion Mark Webster.
