Big Grand Slam pre-party in Wolverhampton
Wolverhampton's Cleveland Arms pub will stage a prelude to the city's Grand Slam of Darts the night before the tournament begins at the Civic Hall.
The incomparable Bobby George and PDC pro Colin Lloyd will serve as exhibition players on Friday.
A host of Grand Slam players are expected to turn up for the evening's festivities, as has been the case in recent years.
The likes of 2010 Grand Slam winner Scott Waites, Mark Walsh, Tony O'Shea and Brendan Dolan normally pop in while expect to see Bobby's son Richie George, who is in the competition.
'The Bobby Dazzler' is the voice of the BDO World Championship, where he was twice a runner-up, at Lakeside on the BBC. He became the sport's first full-time exhibition player in 1986.
Lloyd is the World No 24 in the PDC Order of Merit and is a former World Matchplay and Grand Prix champion. He reached the last 16 of the Grand Slam in 2007, 2009 and 2010.
The event will also raise funds for the Poppy Appeal. Tickets are just £3, with the option to pay on the night, and can be purchased by calling 01902 451 021.
