Scott Waites will be back in Wolverhampton
BDO world champion Scott Waites will again return to the city of one of his most famous triumphs when he takes part in a darts exhibition later this month.
'Scotty 2 Hotty' - who won the world title with a 7-1 success over Tony O'Shea in this year's Lakeside final - will be at the Cleveland Arms in Wolverhampton.
Jamie 'Jabba' Caven joins him on Wednesday September 18 with his star rising in the PDC, where Waites turned down a Pro Tour card after his January exploits.
But Halifax's Waites, 36, does compete in the PDC's Grand Slam of Darts at Wolverhampton Civic Hall, winning the tournament in 2010 with an amazing comeback.
He was 8-0 down to James Wade in the final, but battled back to win 16-12 and lift his first major trophy. He had reached the final the previous year, losing to Phil Taylor.
It made him the first player from the BDO - and the first player from either code other than Taylor - to win the Grand Slam. He then added the BDO World Masters in 2011.
Derby's Caven, 37, has won three non-televised ranking titles in the PDC and reached the last 16 of this year's World Matchplay and the quarter-finals of the European Championship.
He was the victim of a superb turnaround from Simon Whitlock in the latter, who was a leg away from defeat only to win the next seven and put Caven out of the competition 10-9.
On the night, the duo will take on local players and members of the audience at the oche, contest a head-to head showdown and finish the evening with a question and answer session.
Tickets, which are just £5, are available from the Cleveland Arms pub, online at www.clevelandarms.com or by calling 01902 451021.
