And it was Belgian ace Huybrechts that prevailed with a 6-0 whitewash over the Yorkshireman, from Doncaster, at the Cleveland Arms last night.

The two also played a leg against eight punters each from the audience and lost one apiece, although there was a strong suggestion they let them win!

Huybrechts' own 'WAG,' long-term partner Dana Verhaegen, was due to attend the event after flying into the country but has been laid low with illness.

Huybrechts, 27, reached a PDC World Championship quarter-final in 2011 and and came within a game of his first major title in December, the Players Championship.

Winstanley is making a name for himself in the PDC since switching codes from the BDO at the start of last year, where he was World Championship runner-up in 2011.

The 32-year-old from Doncaster hit a nine-darter in his first PDC World Championship in December and was voted the organisation's Best Newcomer for 2012.
