Black Country boxer faces world heavyweight champion's brother in national semi-final
A young Black Country boxer is preparing to take on the brother of world heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois as he targets national title glory.

Nathan Lee faces Solomon, younger brother of IBF champion Daniel and women’s world lightweight champ Caroline, in the semi-finals of the schoolboys championship in Newcastle on Saturday.
The 13-year-old pair will battle it out in the Class A competition at under-46kgs for a place in the following day’s final.
Lee, a member of William Perry ABC in Tipton, has already enjoyed an excellent year, qualifying for the national stages of the schoolboys tournament by winning the Midlands title with a unanimous points win over Black Country Boxing Club’s Archie Jones in the final.
He then proved too strong for Brooklyn Wilkinson from Huddersfield’s Boxpower gym in the quarter-final stage of the national tournament.
“He’s boxed every round of the tournament, there haven’t been any byes,” said Ossie Garratt, founder and head coach at William Perry.
“Nathan has been with us since he was about nine. He is a very talented kid. We really believe he has a big future.
“Boxing a name like Daniel Dubois’ younger brother, it should egg him on a bit more.”
Lee is not the only boxer from William Perry to have enjoyed success this year, with Archie Dutton winning a Midlands title in the Junior Championships at 60kgs.
“We’ve had a good year, so far,” said Garratt. "Hopefully it can continue."
The club will host their final show of the year at Tipton Sports Academy next Friday, May 16. The action begins at 7.30pm, with tickets available on the door.
