Lions are ready to roar
Lions BC’s Tom Jones and Tyrese Luton will hunting glory in the Midlands finals of the Development Championships on Sunday.
The duo head to Bedworth aiming to land gold medals in an event designed for fighters who have fought less than 10 bouts.
Jones, aged 15, who fights under 57kg, booked his place with an impressive semi-final display that saw him force his opponent into three standing counts.
Luton, 15, (under 70kg) benefitted from a bye last weekend, while James Hughes (under 60kg) and Callum Darby (under 69kg) saw their hopes ended.
“All the lads fought really well and can be proud of their efforts,” said Lions coach Kev Dillon. “Hopefully Tom and Tyrese can perform well again this weekend.”
