Tyler Denny ready for next test
The reigning Midlands middleweight champion returns to the ring when The Venue in Dudley hosts professional boxing for the first time in 10 months.
Tyler Denny will step between the ropes on Saturday, April 7, for his first fight since lifting the belt by outpointing Tom Stokes on September 10. The undefeated 26-year-old, from Rowley Regis, takes to the ring for a six-round contest as he builds towards a possible English title fight against Elliott Matthews.
Les Byfield, Ryan Stewart Davies, Danny Ball, Humza Ali and Kane Baker will occupy the home corner on the undercard of the fight night, titled Line of Fire.
Undefeated Davies has been forced to incorporate his middle name by the British Boxing Board of Control to distinguish him from two other Ryan Davies. He will fight over six rounds, as will Byfield.
Ball, from Kingswinford, will join Ali and Baker in competing over four rounds. He has won twice by TKO in his four-fight career.
Walsall’s Ali has moved up from super bantamweight to featherweight for this latest fight, while Bartley Green’s Kane Baker returns to a happy hunting ground.
Baker has won three of his five fights as a professional at The Venue.
