West Brom striker who netted famous Black Country derby strike announces retirement after 190 career goals
He may have only netted two goals for Albion - but one is still etched in the memory of Albion fans.
Carlos Vela arrived at The Hawthorns on loan from Arsenal, tasked with netting the goals to keep Albion up.
He may have not scored a bucket load and helped Roy Hodgson's side to survival, but he did score two vital goals that played a part.
Thrown on for his debut in the Black Country Derby with Wolves, Vela popped up with a late equaliser to salvage a point against Wolves, before doing the same against Stoke City just days later.
The forward, who signed for Arsenal's academy from Mexico, would play just eight times for Albion but will forever be remembered for that goal.
His spell at Albion was one of five loan moves away from Arsenal, where he played just a handful of first team games.
He then went on to really make his name in Spain at Real Sociedad, scoring 91 times in 200 games.
After his spell in Spain he spent a number of years with Los Angeles FC in the MLS, where he was prolific, netting 93 goals in 187 games.
In total, he found the net 190 times in 575 games and has now decided to hang up his boots at the age of 36.
Alongside his club career, he was a key part of the Mexico side up to 2018, scoring 19 goals in 72 games.
