The 33-year-old Shropshire born coach, the youngest British coach to receive a UEFA Pro License, is currently the manager of Minnesota United.

The ex-Manchester United and Chelsea coach moved to the US after turning down jobs in the Championship and the EFL - stating he wanted longevity as a manager that cannot be offered in England.

He has been successful in the MLS, helping his climb the table and recently beat David Beckham's Inter Miami outfit.

Earlier this summer, Ramsay was linked with the vacant Southampton job before the Saints moved to appoint another young coach in Will Still.

Then he emerged as a potential candidate for the Albion job - and has firmly been second in the bookies odds behind Ryan Mason, who is being tipped for the job as the search is believed to be nearing its conclusion.

Two weeks ago the Express & Star reported Ramsay was happy in his role in the US - and new reports have emerged in the press in Minnesota.

The Pioneer Press have reported that despite reports in the UK media, Ramsay remains committed to the job he has in the US and intends to remain there for the time being.

It comes as it is believed Albion are waiting in Spurs number two Mason to make a call on whether he wants the Baggies job.

It had been claimed that Mason was Albion's number one candidate, but he has remained at Tottenham who won the Europa League final last week.
