Walsall missed out on promotion to League One, after Myles Hippolyte scored the only goal in first half stoppage time.
Williams hobbled off in the 34th-minute after falling awkwardly off the ball, and Sadler has hinted that it looked as if it could be a worrying injury.
"It is Achilles or calf. I have not properly seen him yet. He is on crutches and is devastated," the Walsall boss revealed.
"You are always worried about those ones when no-one is around them. We will have to see with that.
Oisin McEntee replaced Williams following his injury but Walsall ultimately didn't do enough on the day.
Sadler felt his side didn't impose themselves on the game in the first half, which saw them fail to register a single attempt.
Jamille Matt had a chance cleared off the line by Riley Harbottle and substitute Levi Amantchi squandered a great chance following his introduction.
David Okagbue also squandered a late opportunity but Walsall struggled to put up much of a fight in the closing stages.
Sadler said that losing Williams was difficult, and praised McEntee for coming on in challenging circumstances, but conceded that a lack of killer instinct in the final third proved costly.
"I thought first half we just didn’t quite impose ourselves the way we wanted to," he added.
"It was a tough hit losing Harry. Best wishes with him, it looks like he got a bit of a bad injury there. Hopefully it is not too bad. That was another bit of adversity there.
"I thought Oisin came on and did well but it is always difficult circumstances.
"We didn’t impose ourselves the way we wanted to and you are just looking to get to half-time but unfortunately the one bit of quality in the game showed and told.
"Second half I thought we played the way we wanted to play. We were a bit braver and increased the tempo.
"When those half chances came for us, those moments which were very few and far between for both teams, we didn’t quite have the quality to kill it off.
