Walsall face AFC Wimbledon in the League Two play-off final at Wembley Stadium on Monday for a place in the division above.

The Saddlers won a thrilling encounter 2-1 against Chesterfield at Bescot last Friday, to book their place in the final with a 4-1 aggregate win in the semi-finals.

Okagbue rejoined the club on a two-year deal last summer after a fruitful loan spell from Stoke City during the previous campaign.

"Definitely," Okagbue said when asked if he believed Walsall were always capable of fighting for promotion.

"After the second half of last season, the way we ended it, I had a good feeling about the next year.

"Maybe being top for so long is something that we didn't expect but I did always have a feeling we'd be up here.
