The rated West Brom young star who turned down a new deal for Scottish Premiership

Ethan Ingram could have still been an Albion player - but the academy graduate turned down a new deal last summer.

Ingram, now 22, had been at Albion since the age of 12, and penned professional terms at just 16.

He was highly thought of in the Albion academy, and was tipped for a bright future.

At one stage during his time at Albion he was subject to Premier League interest - and reports even linked with a possible move to Wolves.

In 2023, he was sent out on his first loan move, heading to League Two side Salford City, where Ingram would play 23 times for the Ammies.

On his return to Albion, it was expected he would return to the fold and sign a new deal, to challenge regular right back Darnell Furlong for a spot in the Baggies line-up.

He was offered fresh terms at the club and was backed to challenge for a first team spot - but surprisingly Ingram opted against the deal.

Instead, having been linked to a number of clubs he decided to sign for Scottish Premiership side Dundee.

The full back has then gone on to impress in the Scottish system, making 31 appearances and netting one goal during his debut season, establishing himself as a first team regular.

The former England under 20 has gone on to receive good reviews in Scotland due to his impressive performances, despite his side just avoiding the drop.

He has been a consistent starter for his side throughout the campaign - and has made a bit of a name for himself north of the border.

He still has a year to run on his deal in Scotland, and is set to again be a key player for them again next season.
