It certainly has been a chaotic season for Walsall under Mat Sadler but there finally appears to be light at the end of the tunnel.
The celebrations at the full-time whistle showed just how much it means to the fans. It's been six long years in the EFL's basement division and many feared how the play-offs would unfold after the psychological blow of their post-January collapse.
But Walsall have shaken off that disappointment to deliver the goods over the course of their two legs against Chesterfield. As David Okagbue said earlier in the week, it feels as "if Walsall are back to their best".
