Megson, who took over Albion back in 2000 and guided the club to safety in the old Nationwide First Division, went on to lead Albion to an historic promotion to the Premier League in the 2001/2002 campaign.
He repeated the feat two years later, taking the Baggies back to the big time at the first time of asking - becoming the only Albion boss to lead the club in two promotion winning campaigns.
He departed the club after a handful of games back in the Premier League - but he would later return to the Hawthorns hotseat when he served as assistant manager to Tony Pulis, before taking charge of two games as interim manager.
Megson remains lauded by Albion fans to this day and he is set to make a big return to the West Midlands next month as part of 'An Evening with Gary Megson'.
The event, which is set to take place on May 28 at Hockley Social Club in Birmingham, will be hosting by sports journalist and author Chris Lepkowski, and is in support of the West Brom Former Players Association and Inpsire Arfika, a West Midlands based charity that helps and supports children and families in Kenya.
The association, founded back in 2003, has helped some ex-Albion players with financial, personal and moral support.
Secretary Geoff Snape said: “The Former Players Association supports those members who require financial, physical and mental help.
“Our support and commitment in working closely with The Albion Foundation is something we are proud of. Equally, we support charities such as Heart Foundation, Motor Neurone Disease and individual donations are made to various other charitable organisations and individuals.
“We are extremely grateful to share the proceeds from the evening’s event with Inspire Afrika.”
Tickets for the event are £12 and are available here.
