The first big call owners Bilkul have to make is who comes in to replace Tony Mowbray. A number of names have already been banded about - with the club's hierarchy taking their time to get the appointment correct.
After that decisions will then turn to the playing squad and what could happen ahead of what is expected to be a busy summer. Players such as John Swift, Grady Diangana and Semi Ajayi are expected to depart at the end of their contracts.
There are a host of other Albion players who go into the summer with just one year left on their contracts, such as Jed Wallace and Karlan Grant.
Elsewhere, last summer's signings like Devante Cole has a year left, while forgotten man Gianluca Frabotta still has two years remaining on his contract. Both have failed to make any sort of impact at the club since arriving back in 2024.
So alongside the out of contract players, could others potentially be move on this summer before their deals run out in 2026?
Lewis Cox and Jonny Drury discussed the matter on this week's Baggies Broadcast, and gave their take on whether certain players may be moved on if interest arises.
