Walsall issue Jack Earing update after "tough injury"
Mat Sadler says Jack Earing has taken "longer" than expected to recover from his ankle injury, but hopes the Walsall midfielder can fight for selection ahead of the final game against Crewe Alexandra.

Earing has not featured since the turn of the year after he suffered an ankle injury during the Saddlers' 2-0 win over Newport County at Bescot in the final game of 2024.
The 26-year-old was forced to undergo surgery and was initially ruled out for "10 to 12 weeks" after receiving his scan results.
He has gone on to miss four months and only returned to full training at the end of March.
